Independent publishing, blog monetization: Adsense

People across the divides have the opportunity to make “a living” or “a contribution to a living” by partnering with many advertising… movers and shakers of the ever growing Adsense explosion. What makes Google unique is the opportunity it offers to say… For instance someone in the Amazons Brazil can sell merchandise online and blog about products sold, or services.

There are more opportunities on both ends of the divides to be gained if more and more people can access information and monetize without censorship… and by making technology available and affordable in the third world(cost effective)… encouraging more open source platforms to enable the less fortunate… access to web2.0 education tools and information… and opportunities to empower more entrepreneurs and B2B partners connected and conducting business online.

Below are my comments to a discussion on adsense and blog monetization.

Can You Make a Decent Living Off of Google AdSense Ads?

http://www.labnol.org/internet/blogging/making-a-living-from-google-adsense/1848/

Google Adsense is still a 500million per quarter opportunity for any blogger with relevant content and employing… as the geeks call it… the “white hat SEO” techniques.

So you have to keep writing good content which enables Google crawlers patrolling the “netsphere” and your site to display relevant ads… allowing indexing and page ranking of sites correctly… this makes the interaction with a reader more interesting, creating a curiosity to click on the ads.

There are other monetization techniques that come infrequently… paid sponsors… selling merchandise as relates to your blog, individual companies approaching you to display an ad about products or services… etc

Bottom line… invest time on system designgood html/css coding… adhere to Google webmaster guidelines… to avoid site being removed from the search engine indexing. Keep implementing new things within reason and relevance to your area of expertise or topics you blog about, don’t be stuck in one old way just because it works. Be innovative, try different codes, different positioning… etc

As you blog you start to social network and learn from your fellow bloggers… other ways to monetize.

Good Luck to all trying to be independent… Don’t give up… keep writing good content.”

Getting into Google’s top pages is really hard work. Blogging requires sincere dedication. If one can’t earn from Google Adsense, the act of blogging must be done as one’s contribution for world knowledge.
